After so many business trips to this City over the years its quite surprising to see it in an entirely different perspective as a visitor.
K has passed through New York on several occasions, starting with the grand greyhound adventure in the 80's and now also got the chance to get inside NY at Year 29.
The Jumping shot in Central Park. (Someones happy to be here!)
Incredible what you really can pack into a few days in this City. following a 4am start and a 9.00am arrival, bags dropped off at the hotel on the lower east side and off to see the city in the best way possible. A' la pied.!
Like P ended up with an SD card full of images so just posting some of my favorites.........
The Prada Candy Store for Girls - Never let them loose in here with your Credit Card!
Arrival day. pretty much walked from 51st Street down to Battery park to grab the ferry to Liberty and Ellis Island and of course across to the WTC Site.
Trying to look "Cool in New York" actually not difficult it was B******* Freezing!!!
I
think one of the best views of New York outside perhaps of the one from the top of the Rockefeller center is looking back at the city from the Ellis Island Ferry.
The obvious shot has to be included ... No apologies., but did include both Ladies!

The "Arrivals" Hall at Ellis Island - Currently hosting a mini photographic exhibition with highly moving stories from Immigrants around the world. The processing hall has been significantly updated since it was in operation and really quite startling to see the conditions that people had to endure from the early to mid 1900's to gain entry into America.

Unfortunately photographic records of a NYC visit are not complete without a visit to the hole left in the city skyline by the World Trade Centre. All these years on and still a significant amount of repairs and re building to be done. You cannot gaze on this site without imagining the horror of that day for so many people.
On a happier note a stroll through Central Park is really like being inside a Paul Simon Song!"If I can make it here I can make it anywhere" Overwhelmed in Times Square!
More to come.....................................
