Moving In!

We have skipped the actually travelling part, as the 401 and 407, really is not that much differant from the M25 , M4....

Arrival: This is D&B's new Pad! With its own Garage.... Hmm a warm place to store the MG this year?

While everyone else is struggling with Bed's , Sofa's and enough furniture for 3 Houses, Dibbs takes time to figure our just where this coat should go.

Thinks!!! With a bit of work this room would be a good place to re build the MG Engine and Gear Box, without messing up my own house!

Dibbs African Office....After buying the house it could be the closest she gets for awhile!

Nicely done Guys, But I think the legs are supposed to face down... Check the instructions again!

And finally done....alone in their new castle.. D&B take time out to reflect....

Moving Out!

Finally after many hours of searching, traumatic negotiations etc. Dibbs and Brad have a house and today was Movin day! After a poor start, due to lack of communication between U Haul web site and the people who actually provide the trucks. (Never book a U Haul over the web! Lesson Learned). We managed to negotiate a smaller truck so at least we could get things moving. Twas a long drive to Arizona to pick it up. Actually it was supposed be picked up in Brampton, but somewhere along the 401 Dibbs and took a seriously wrong turn!

With every one pitching in, and superb project management by yours truly! The rest of the day went really well! Many thanks to Andy! who worked none stop and seemed to everyewhere at once! Great Job Man, but you should have stayed for Dinner.

A few more shots of the packing phase.

And finally done!

Travels

Well thanks for the reminder 008. I have just not found the time to update this blog. I will add the last few months soon. - The DJ and Matt - fishing trip Lugano - Las Vegas - UK- Severn Beach ( A world of its own!) - Las Vegas - Las Vegas.

No pictures of the strip this time, just to busy at the conference but anyway here are a few shots.

Our G2E Booth - after set up!

A little boring but a new slot game called RAGING ROOSTERS. When you get the Bonus round you choose your rooster (From Sumo rooster to Ninja Rooster, and take on your opponent Rooster.. Really cool.

View from back of the Hotel, off the strip but youcan see the Strat in the distance.

I am back here again in a week so will try this time to get some cool pictures of the strip and publish them. Just off to the Airport to go home so will tidy up this post later!!!

Another hard day of work in Asia

A Day off! and a trip to Coloane. After a long hard hike around the old village in 35C weather we were very hot tired and sweaty, we hopped no a local bus mainly for the airconditioning and saw this oasis from the bus. Hopped off and of course had no swimming gear, a quick browse round the village and we saw Swimming items on the food menu. Brilliant. 10 minutes and $7.00 later we were equipped with towels and the most ugliest swimming trunks I have ever seen! hence no pictures of me on this one!

Eleven's in the village square, a taste of old Macau!

Another Oasis... Time for more eleven's at the Westin Hotel in the background Followed by a few random shots around Coloane.

Another ambition realised..600HP of pure fun!

Finding a bit more time now, I joined the Canadian Warplane Heritage group with the intention of volunteering on one of the restoration projects. A quick visit today ended with the opportunity to Fly the Harvard...

An unbelievable experience. The most fun you can have with your clothes on.. or off for that matter... Damn who wants to go back to flying 160hp PA28's after this.

Ok not exactly Tom cruise... More like Biggles.. before anyone else says it.

This is a shot coming back over the heritage museum, you can see the Stearman parked on the ramp... Thats next on the list.

Not exactly a "Loaded" panel but most of it works.

No not a "before and after photo! "this is a shot of another one undergoing restoration.

And a quick shot of the last Flying Lancaster...

The Stearman..

Horses and Archery.. If only we could combine the two

Finally, found time from traveling to try my hand at Horse riding. Something I had been promising myself for years. Dibbs is now very concerned that I will run out and by a Horse now, given the extreme approach to other pastimes. She would not be happy if I did of course, as she never got her pony as a little Girl!.

And on another note, the weekend activities continued with getting Dibbs and Brad out to the archery field. Both did really well, and now see why I am so pre occupied with the sport. Kay also put up a very good show, and I will have to try an persuade her to compete this year as well.

Maid Marianne and Lady (Dangerous) Dibbs in Action!

And Little John of course put up a good show!

Rain Day in China

Across the Border in Zhu Hai. City of eternal shopping! See next shot.

You can pretty much buy ANYThing here, and have surgery done (While you wait......) This picture doesn't do it justice, it would probably take you 3 days to see and shop the entire area. Has to be the largest underground market in the world, unless anyone knows otherwise.

I have no idea who this Cat is... or what he is saying!!!!! Taken by the cultural museum, which is definitely worth the visit.

Random shots including the new Wynn Casino......

And More...........

Hello from Macau

Well the travelling never ends. One of the reasons for the really bad photo is the constant and exceptional humidity here. Walk 2 blocks and you are drenched. Very hard to get used to. Off to mainland China on Saturday after a long hard week of work. In the background is the famous Macau landmark the Kun Iam Statue a 20-metre bronze figure of the Buddhist Goddess of Mercy sculpted by a Portuguese and cast in China.

Great hotel room though to escape the humidity... Will try and add better picts when time permits folks...
