February events
Goodbye FGGQ
Just posting this for posterity. October 2005, when I finally sold the plane. Really miss it of course but not the bills $$$$$$$$$$$$$$. At least Phil and Dawn got to fly it, and Kay of course experienced the unscheduled stop in a Mennonite Farm Field. Keith managed to also survive a quick trip round the block despite some minor issues with the pilot seat deciding to adjust itself on take off.
The New Carb
First post before the milkman arrives
Appropriately the commencement of this blog coincides with the beginning of spring which means the MG is back on the road, and of course its raining!. Greased, waxed and I finally gave in and replaced the tired but original carberettor with a shiny new Weber. Its now faster, more reliable but have departed from keeping it original.I guess Phil will not be back to drive it this summer now with the new job (very proud man, well done) so ITS ALL MINE!
