I am a Canadian

At long last, I finally made the grade and became a bona fida Canadian Eh!

February events

After surviving many injury defying feats on Roller blades, skis and of course the aircraft, Kay managed in a rather un-dramatic episode managed to break her hip rather badly. But here she is a few weeks after surgery trying out her new mode of transport!

Goodbye FGGQ

Just posting this for posterity. October 2005, when I finally sold the plane. Really miss it of course but not the bills $$$$$$$$$$$$$$. At least Phil and Dawn got to fly it, and Kay of course experienced the unscheduled stop in a Mennonite Farm Field. Keith managed to also survive a quick trip round the block despite some minor issues with the pilot seat deciding to adjust itself on take off.

The New Carb

Well this is the upgrade for the year, actually a Weber carb used on Harley's but with an adaptor and rejetting ,works well on the MG except it leaves little room for the air filter. Definitely more power now (and before Andrew says it, yeah it now does 62Kms/hr).

First post before the milkman arrives

Appropriately the commencement of this blog coincides with the beginning of spring which means the MG is back on the road, and of course its raining!. Greased, waxed and I finally gave in and replaced the tired but original carberettor with a shiny new Weber. Its now faster, more reliable but have departed from keeping it original.

I guess Phil will not be back to drive it this summer now with the new job (very proud man, well done) so ITS ALL MINE!
